Throughout history, this has been the name of many prominent Islamic scholars, philosophers, and theologians. These scholars influenced Islamic history, philosophy, and religious thought. One such person is ''Mohyeddin Ibn Arabi'', a Muslim scholar from the 12th century in Andalusia, which is now part of Spain.
