الملخص:Almost every top university in Indonesia has an international relations office to support the university and make students develop their knowledge related to international education. ITB has a Bureau of Partnerships, in which the International Relations Office (or IRO ITB) is an integral part, providing facilities to help promote international collaboration, fulfil needs related to international partnerships, and accommodate involvements in international networks. The issue faced by IRO ITB that is raised in this thesis is overload of work. In exploring the business issue, Internal Human Resource Analysis (i.e. Job description, and Organizational Structure) and Job Design Analysis were incorporated as part of the Conceptual Framework. The exploration used a qualitative method through a series of interviews with IRO ITB’s staff and an analysis of secondary data using IRO ITB’s internal documents. Overall, the activities carried out by researchers focused on internal human resources, job description of each employee, organizational structure regarding the number of employees (including the use of benchmarking). After being analyzed using the current reality tree (CRT) method, the data were constructed to generate the root cause, which was the lack of manpower. The proposed alternative solutions in dealing with the existing root cause (i.e. the lack of manpower) are proposed organization structure (specifically by adding outsourcing employees), internship programs, or coordination with Faculties and Schools’ representatives (specifically spreading the task of international relations in each faculty / school). The implementation timeline is provided as an illustration how each one of the solutions is to be implemented.
