Summary:The aim of this study is to find out the effect of jackfruit bark (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk.) extract on cerebrum of mice infected with Toxoplasma gondii histopathologically. Twenty four mice divided into six groups of treatment, i. e. negative control (P0-), administered with 0.5 % CMC Na, positive control (P0+) with spiramycin 150 mg/kg, and P1, P2, P3, P4 with 200 mg/kg, 100 mg/kg, 50 mg/kg, 25 mg/kg respectively. The treatment was performed on 5 consecutive days, the next day after treatment, they were sacrificed, the cerebrum were harvested and prepared for histopathological examination. Statistical analysis were performed using kruskal-wallis test, followed by Mann-Whitney test. The result shows necrosis and gliosis in all specimens, but not different significally between groups (p>0,05).
