Summary:The aims of this research are to observe the effect ofAndrographis paniculata extracton the prod uction of oocysts and lesion scores cecum chicken were infected E. tenella. Forty of day old chicks were used in th is study. At twenty-one days old the broi lers were d ivided into four groups. Each group consist of ten broi lers, the four groups were negati ve control broi ler was infected with 5,000 E. tenella without Andrographis paniculataextract (KN), each broi ler was infected with 5,000 E. tenella and Andrographis paniculataextract 60 mg/kg body weight (Pl ), each broiler was infected 5,000 E. tenella and Andrographis paniculataextract 90 mg/kg body weight (P2), each broi ler was infected 5,000 E. tenella and Andrographis paniculata extract 120 mg/kg body weight (P3). N ine days post-infection broilersfaeces were taken. The observed variable was the number of oocyst prod uction seven days post-i nfection broi lers were killed and the cecum was taken. The observed variable was the cecum lesion score.The research design was using completely random ized design with four groups and five replications. Data analysis using the F test (Anova) and LSD 5% in oocyst prod uction and Kruskal Wall is on cecum lesion score.The resu l ts showed that Andrographis paniculata extract was able to decrease the oocyst prod uction and unable to decrease lesion scores of chicken cecum.
