This research examines of preposition category followed by category of other words and can form prepositional phrase construction of Javanese language Banyumas dialect. Preposition is to be the main element of prepositional phrase. Preposition in Javanese language Banyumas dialect consist of more or less 33 prepositions which have different form and variations which are suitable with speech level of ngoko, madya, and krama. This research is qualitative descriptive. This study is line with syntaxes and semantics aspects. Related to syntaxes aspect of prepositional phrase, this research discusses of prepositional phrase formed from the prepositional elements as a signifier and followed other elements are as axis or signify or it can be called as constituent such as noun, verb, adjective, adverb, number, preposition of phrase which can form prepositional phrase. Those Prepositional phrases are as directive exocentric phrase. Beside, syntaxes aspect of prepositional phrase in Javanese language Banyumas dialect shows that prepositional phrase can occupy as predicate, complement and adverb of sentence. Prepositional phrase distribution can be initial, center and final. In addition, the deletion of preposition is influenced by some factors. This deletion whether exist or not is optional, and there are verbs that can cause prepositional phrase or it can be called verb with preposition. Link with semantic role of preposition phrase in Javanese language Banyumas dialect, there is meaning variance between one preposition and other prepositions in the prepositional phrase construction. Semantic role which is marked by preposition is seen from category of words which follow that preposition which can state as meaning relationship. Generally, meaning connection which is marked by preposition is influenced by verb and elements of phrase shaper itself in the sentence, the function of it is a predicate.
