Description
Summary:Recurrent events for individual subjects are of interest in medical study. Two fundamental ways to modelling recurrent events are through event counts and through gap times between succesive events. Poisson Model based on event counts is applied by counting the number of events over spesific period of time, if there is overdispersion data then Poisson random effects models is applied to analyze the problem. Parametric and semiparametric gap time model are analysis based on gap times between succesive events. Models are applied to female rats experiment data to observe spesific treatment effect of certain medication to tumour occurences. Models application shows that Poisson model with splitting point exactly at the event times will have same result as parametric gap time model. Result of simulation data gives an estimation of Poisson model and gap time model for both frequent and infrequent data with a big value of coverage probability.
