總結: | Indonesia's economy showed a commendable performance despite the
economic crisis hit in 2008. However, good economic growth is leaving the
problems of low quality of human resources (HR) reflected on the Human
Development Index (HDI).
This study aims to analyze the relationship between human development
and economic growth. This study also analyzes what factors influence human
development and economic growth, and how the impact of human resource
investment on human development and economic growth.
There is two-way relationship beetween human development (through
health) and economic growth in Indonesia. The level of education is significantly
affected by the level of health, education levels lag, and lag of government
spending for infrastructure. The level of health is significantly affected by the
economic performance, health level lag and lag in health spending. Meanwhile,
the economic performance is significantly affected by the lag economic
performance, level of education, level of health and Construction Cost Index. The
simulation results show that (1) If the lag of health spending increase by 10
percent, it will raise level of education by 0,04 years, level of heal by 0,022 years
and economic performance by Rp59,9 thousand. (2) If the lag of government
spending on infrastructure increase Rp10 trillion, it will raise level of education by
0,368 years, level of health by 0,00711 and economic performance by Rp1,4
million.
Human development encourages economic performance and on the other
hand good economic performance support human development. This two-way
relationship cannot stand alone and require government support in other sectors
such as the provision of good infrastructure and increasing of government
spending on health. |
