Summary:Cow which expressed repeat breeding was a female with normal oestrus cycle that had fertilize using fertile bull or artificial inseminated with good quality sperm had not pregnant. This research was conducted to find out the prevalence of repeat breeding in dairy cows on Bantul and the result would be a guideline for all dairy farmers in order to increase the productivity of livestock. The number of cattle were 66 dairy cows from 11 dairy farmers which in Bantul. The method that used in this study was a survey directly to the location of the farm. The survey was done by questionnaire and discussing to farmers and local veterinarians and direct observation about condition of the condition of the barn and cattle. The results were processed by Statistics for Windows and analyzed by frequency distributions and descriptive statistics. The results showed the prevalence of repeat breeding in dairy cows at Bantul on the farmer level was 81.8% (9/11), while the prevalence of repeat breeding in dairy cows on the cattle level was 24.4% (16/66).
