This research is associated with the process of establishing Marine Protected Areas (MPA) in Buleleng district, Bali Province (it is still called \"reserved conservation area\") as an effort to ensuring the management and utilization of coastal resources particularly the coral reef ecosystem. The aim of this research to introduce the importance of coral reef ecosystem to human activities and also estimating these benefits into monetary terms according to the total economic value (TEV) concept using various valuation methodology. Direct use value that derived from the recreational use of this area using the Travel Cost Method can not be estimated. Indirect use value of the reserved conservation area as coastal protection using Replacement Cost Method is Rp541.941.024.000,00 per year. The non-use value, which is divided by bequest and existence value using Contingent Valuation Method, is estimated Rp8.762.339.250,00 per year for bequest value and Rp9.480.309.370,00 per year for existence value. The total economic value of this reserved conservation area of coral reef ecosystem is estimated around Rp560.183.672.620,00 per year.
