Bridge is a structure that connects two area separated by rivers, swamps, strait, valley, and other obstacles. Suspension footbridge is a type of bridge that mostly used to bridging between two villages. Suspension footbridge with a 90 m span stretching between Kendalsari and Dompol village, Kemalang Subdistrict, Klaten District was constructed in 1993, however inspection and maintenance procedures for the bridges have never been done. In this final project, evaluation of suspension footbridge structure was performed based on safety and comfort ability requirements as a part of bridge liability requirements. Field survey, laboratory test, bridge condition index with AHP method and structural analysis modelling by SAP2000 software were performed to find out the suspension footbridge structural existing condition. The condition index for suspension footbridge structure at Kendalsari-Dompol village, Kemalang Subdistrict, Klaten District is 39,757 (fairly-bad). The bridge structure doesn�t comply the safety and comfort ability requirements, therefore the bridge doesn�t comply for the bridge liability requirements. Replacement of wooden floor, strengthening the main cable, and improving maintenance, especially at block anchorage is recommended for the bridge maintenance.
