Summary:Literature showed that coccidiosis in cow have strong relationship with mortality in young cattle caused by enteritis. The objective of study is to asses prevalence of coccidiosis in cow and mortality prevalence in calf in Sragen, Central Java, Indonesia. The present study uses cross sectional study design. 49 cow�s feces samples were obtainet from Sragen. Then the samples were examination using microscopical methode to detect oocyst of Eimeria sp.. Quesionnaire and interview with farmers were conducted to obtain mortality data of calf in Sragen. This study showed that the prevalence of coccidiosis in cow is 38.78% (19/49). Mortality prevalence in calf is 2.3% (49/2118). Futher study was needed using large samples.
