Description
Summary:Anthrax is a zoonotic disease caused by Bacillus anthracis. Anthrax cases occured in Sragen at 2006 and 2010. Prevention and controlling programs have been done included vaccination program. The aims of this study were to evaluate of vaccination program and identify the risk factors which influence to the achievment. Cattle in high risk area in Subdistric Miri and Tanon were targeted population in this study. One hundred and twenty eight (128) cows from 72 farmer selected randomly as samples. Serology testing was performed by Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay method in Indonesian Research Center for Veterinary and risk factor variable were obtained by questionaire. Data was analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Descriptive statistic and the association between seropositive and risk factor was done by OR. This study showed coverage of anthrax vaccination in Sragen was 48,4% from 128 cattle and seropositive against anthrax was 1,6%. Base on bivariate analyzed there were not risk factors associated with anthraxs seropositive. Anthrax vaccination in Sragen did not produce the optimum immunity yet.
