總結: | This paper aims to investigate SAP (S: saturates, A: aromatics, and P: polar compounds) of hydrocracking residual oil from Butonian asphalt-derived asphaltene by infra red spectroscopy analysis (IR) and column chromatography separation followed by gas chromatography mass spectroscopy (GC-MS) was carried out.
The residual oil was adsorb onto glass column tube with silica gel B-10 ± 30 gram, and then eluted succesively by n-pentane (45 mL), n-pentane (40 mL), n-pentane/CH2C12 (4:1 v/v, 75 mL), and CH2C12/ methanol (9:1 v/v, 75 mL) yielded four fractions which were defined as saturates-1 (S-1), saturates-2 (S-2), aromatics (A), and polar compounds (P), respectively.
The result of structural analysis by IR suggested that the residue of hydrocracking consisted mainly of polar compounds and small amounts of aromatics compounds. GC-MS analysis indicated that the S-1 fraction essentially consisted of aliphatic compounds (55,55%), S-2 contained small amounts of aromatics compounds (11,11%), the third fraction (A) consisted of aromatics (18,18%) and polar compounds (72,7%), the last fraction (P) consisted mainly of polar compounds (50%). This result of residue's structural analysis concluded that the residue contained of paraffinic hydrocarbon, aromatics, and polar compounds.
