However, in Cambodia, this new pedagogy is a new trend in educational teaching. Therefore, the purpose of this research study are: 1) to explore Cambodia EFL students' perception on CAI and 2) to compare the perception of Cambodia EFL students on CAI in term of gender, age, education background, proficiency level, and duration of study. The samples in this research study were 250 part time EFL students who are studying in one private school. The data is collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed in statistical package by using independent sample t-test and One-way ANO VA. The findings from this study suggested that the perception of EFL students on CIA as a whole was at moderate level with a value of mean ranged from a highest of 4.25 to a lowest of 2.08. With regard to the three aspects, Computer Importance aspect was the first with a highest mean, followed by Computer Motivation aspect and Computer Barriers aspect. Moreover, the results of data analysis from the comparison indicated that EFL students perceived similarly on CAI in term of gender, education background, proficiency level and duration of study. However, using One-way ANO VA to test the significance of differences in perception of EFL students based on age, the researcher found a statistically significant difference between the perceptions of EFL students in the age group of "Less than 13". Based on these findings, school administrators, teachers, and educational stakeholder should find out strategies to take the best benefit from this new pedagogy for the sake of educational quality in Cambodia.enRoyal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP)CAIComputer-assisted InstructionITC in educationCambodian EFL Students' Perception on Computer-assisted Instruction: a case study in one private schoolThesis |
