Description
Summary:Increased in environmental conditions, topside dead and live loads, material deterioration, anomalies and neglected inspection schedules reduce the design capacity of jacket platforms. For safe operation, review on current safety performance ofjacket platform is mandatory. Component based analysis is no longer adequate to give global safety status of ageing jacket platform. Push over analysis coupled with reliability method and redundancy analysis, is the common approach to analyze ageing jacket platforms in Malaysia. This study attempted to establish the relationship between reliability index and return period for Malaysian region reference.
