The 5th International Conference on Harmonisation of Shari’ah and Civil Law, organized by the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), convened at the Senate Hall of the International Islamic University Malaysia on 1 August 2023. The conference, guided by the theme ‘Harmonising the Shari’ah and Civil Law: Progress and Achievements, brought together legal scholars, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to explore the dynamic relationship between these two legal systems.
