Summary:Littering phenomenon is one of the unethical problems that still exist unsolved until nowadays. However there is arising shown in Malaysia where average 19,000 tones of rubbish found unattended per year (Agamuthu,2007). The study focus on the public perception towards littering in Semporna Town. The study conducted to determine the level of perception and the correlation between the factors that contribute to littering. The questionnaires had been distributed where 315 respondents were involved. The researcher had been use cross sectional survey where the data collected using random sampling method. Surprisingly, the result shown the level of perception of people in Semporna which indicates the littering action was unexpectedly high towards littering and the variable is strongly correlate to as the factors that cause littering tendency.
