This project can alert the owner by sending SMS messages after detecting an intruder. The owner also can monitor their car status by sending SMS messages. This project consists of two parts which are hardware design and software development. For hardware design, the system is controlled by a microcontroller PIC 18F4550. The detector of limit switch is used as the input of PIC. Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) is preferred in the wireless communication because due to its effectiveness and the use of Short Message Services (SMS). SMS was used because the increasing use of mobile phone.
