The proposed system combines two different techniques, namely OCDMA and WDM. The modified double weight (MDW) code is used as a signature address for designing the system. This code has numerous advantages such as this code can accommodate more number of simultaneous active users under considerable standard bit error rate (e.g. ≤ 10-9) and shorter code length. The proposed system can enhance the network capability to support high number of users. Therefore, this system can be considered as a promising solution for Metro Area Network (MAN). 2015-04-14T04:57:50Z 2015-04-14T04:57:50Z 2014-03 Article Journal of Optical Communications, vol. 35(1), 2014, pages 39-43 0173-4911 http://www.degruyter.com/view/j/joc.2014.35.issue-1/joc-2013-0070/joc-2013-0070.xml http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/xmlui/handle/123456789/39470 en Walter de Gruyter Berlin/Boston
