Summary:Films such as Grave of the Fireflies and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya left huge impact in animation industry and attract attention from society with its metaphorical storytelling. Malaysia animation industry still unaware of the importance of storytelling and its impact in animation. Thus, this research is aimed to create animation that use metaphors that help audience understand the story and feel the emotion and message conveyed. This research used qualitative method which is visual research on films that successfully use metaphors and make audience emotionally connected to the films such as Isao Takahata films, Grave OfThe Fireflies and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. With this research, researcher has produced animation with metaphors that reflect issue verbal bully.
