The effect of two different acidic pretreatments, namely hydrogen peroxide (H20 2) and
peracetic acid (P AA) for oil palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) soda-AQ pulp were studied.
Oxygen delignification without pretreatment was performed to remove 36.72% of the lignin
without serious cellulose degradation. The effects of H20 2 pretreatment was not satisfactory
since the cellulose viscosity was dropped even the degree of delignification was improved. |
