Description
Summary:This paper presents the application of fuzzy set theory in multi criteria decision making (MCDM). Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) technique will be used to rank alternatives to find the most reasonable and efficient use of river system. The overall aspects of river system including both qualitative and quantitative are emphasized. Four criteria and 20 subcriteria have been identified and compared. Fuzzy numbers and linguistic variables are presented to address inherently uncertain or imprecise data. The technique is tested to real rivers data. A comparison between the proposed technique and the previous results obtained using conventional techniques is presented
