Summary:This Research aims to identify the impact o f the program on SHIELDS program participants in Kluang., Johor based on Kirkpatrick model. Four main aspects concerning the effectiveness o f the program is seen in the reaction aspects, aspects o f learning, as well aspects o f the behavioral outcomes. Respondents consisted o f 37 participants who attended the program fo r the SHIELDS 2012 session. The research design is to use a mixture o f methods. The instrument used was a questionnaire and interview protocol. Date were analyzed descriptively using SPSS ( Statistic Package fo r the Social Sciences Version 20 ). While the interviews were analyzed manually involving coding and data interpretation. Reliability o f the questionnaire was tested through a pilot study using the Alpha Croanbach consistency,,where the reliability is 0849 (satisfaction ) and 0812 ( impact effectiveness). To determine the effectiveness in terms o f knowledge, skills and attitudes. The results showed that all four aspects o f this study showed a positive reaction in which participants were satisfied with the training that followed, gain knowledge and enhance skills, attitude changes and leave the drug benefits. Thus, is can be concluded that the overall program used by SHIELDS Kluang agency is effective to participants in order to improve the quality o f life away from drugs
