Description
Summary:The key objective of this paper is to propose a conceptual framework, which is hoped will examine relationship between barriers to participation and treatment-seeking among vesicovaginal fistula (VVF) women in three selected areas (Kebbi, Sokoto & Zamfara) in north-west, Nigeria. Based on reviewed literature, this paper proposes five main constructs in the proposed model that would examine why not so many women with VVF are participating in treatment-seeking. The constructs are inequality in decision-making, attitude of health personnel, poor social support and Transportation.
