Affordability, habitability, accessibility, location, cultural appropriateness, and the availability of resources including services, materials, amenities, and infrastructure are possible aspects of adequate housing. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities" are key guiding principles that support the right to an appropriate standard of living, which includes adequate housing. Surprisingly, compared to other integration initiatives, the housing component of the integration of ordinary migrants has received little attention. This article's objectives are to explain adequate housing and impact, identify housing challenges by migrants and refugees, and illuminate approaches that have been applied from other nations. Content analysis has been used as qualitative approach.
