الوصف
الملخص:Chapter 1 is literature review. The purpose of this chapter is to demonstrate an overview of ACF and GAC applications, especially applications to environmental protection. In addition, MO and ammonia are introducted. Chapter 2 is materials and methods. Its purpose is to introduce materials and describe the methods of conducting experiments and data evaluation. Chapter 3 shows results and discussions on 3 issues including material characterization, adsorption ability evaluation, and biological study. Material characterization part is to point out a material's structure and properties. The second part shows a comparision of the MO adsorption performance between GAC and ACF in batch and column experiments. Adsorption kinetic, adsorption isotherm, adsorption thermodynamic and several impact factors were shown. Finally, a comparison of biodegradation between B-ACF and B-GAC including bacteriaabundance and ammonia oxidation is discussed. Chapter 4 is to sum up the achievement of the thesis and recommendation.
