The tests include Number recognition, Ordering of Numbers, Relations of Numbers, Addition and Subtraction. With the employment of various computer assisted teachings and the present curriculum of preschool education, the software NUMBER POWER, A COMPUTER ASSISTED INSTRUCTION FOR CHILDREN was made. The software composed of 5 modules on basic arithmetic lessons namely COUNTING/NUMBER RECOGNITION from 1 to 10 ORDERING OF NUMBERS (1 to 10) in ascending and descending sequence NUMBER RELATIONS, that is greater than, less than, equal to ADDITION and SUBTRACTION. By way of purposive sampling, 20 OB Montessori, Aurora Nursery School and children from various schools students were treated to the software. Prior to the employment of the software, the children were given pre-test. A post test was also administered to them after using the software. The scores of the pre-test and post test were further subjected to a T-test. At .05 level of significance results indicated that there is a positive effect on the performance of 20 selected participants in their non-computer based tests. Furthermore, the performance of the children on the software showed that there are specific age levels at which the selected participants were able to use and appreciate each module. Findings were supported and recommendations for further investigations were considered in this study. 1986-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/9784 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Programmed instruction Computer-assisted instruction Computer software Preschool children Computer graphics--Computer programs Programming (Electronic computers)
