الملخص:The accumulation of molybdenum in five different organs of rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) was determined by the use of Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. Four 2-month old rabbits were used and divided into two groups, control and treated. Two replicates were done. The treated group was injected intraperitonealy with a sublethal dose of molybdenum, 200.0 mg/kg, for a one week period. The following organs were analyzed: liver, kidney, small intestines, stomach, large intestines. Results revealed that among the treated groups, the highest concentration of molybdenum is found in the liver, with a mean value of 0.5847 + 0.1113 mg/g followed by (in decreasing order) small intestines, 0.3940 + 0.0982 mg/g, stomach, 0.3787 + 0.0846, kidney, 0.3449 + 0.0867 mg/g and large intestines, 0.2662+ 0.0542 mg/g. The results show that molybdenum accumulates in the different organs variably.
