Summary: | This study focuses on learning about Toyota Motor Philippine's culture communications by using Hatch's Model of Cultural Dynamics to understand the elements of culture present within the company. This paper aims to discover the assumptions , values , symbols , and artifacts utilized for the creation, maintenance, and communication of TMP's organizational culture to its organizational members. To do this, the researcher joined the company as a member of Team Relations Section and through their eyes, gathered data through the use of participant observation and in-depth semi-structured interviews. The researcher found out that the organization utilized various communication venues to build open communications between management and employees as a way to build trust between the two sectors. The researcher found out that most of company's espoused values became ingrained to the organizatonal member's attitude and behavior. The researcher also learned about turning their most outstanding employees as their symbol of an ideal Toyota member through a recognition program and how they can influence other employees. The researcher fully analyzed the data and, through their self-reflection, experience, and data analysis, figured out that the company's basic assumptions lay on their belief that they should prioritize their employees as they are their greatest assets. In conclusion, the melting of the elements of culture helped us understand how the company turned into an ideal workplace atmosphere to their organizational members. |
