Culture shock is the feeling of anxiety that comes from exposure to unfamiliar signs and symbols of social intercourse. Well being is a person's cognitive and effective evaluation of his or her life. Polyculturalism suggests the importance of recognizing people's racial and ethnic background and it is a lay belief that may possibly mediate cultural adaptation and culture shock, and cultural adaptation and well-being. In line with this, a total of 242 participants were gathered while using the online survey. The Lay Belief questionnaire, SCAS- R, WEMBS, CSQ, and Big five questionnaire were used to measure the variables cultural adaptation, culture shock, well being, and polycultrualism. Analysis revealed that there is no significant mediating relationship between Polyculturalism and the other variables. Furthermore, the results show that the higher the cultural adaptation, the lower the culture shock and vice versa.
