Summary: | This study dealt with the midlife occupational shifts of Filipino male managers, which focused on three dimensions. These dimensions are namely: problems encountered in midlife by Filipino male managers, reasons for occupational shifting, and coping strategies that were used by Filipino male managers regarding their occupational shifting in midlife. The study focused on twelve (12) men. Theses men were chosen accordingly to the following criteria: They must be from 35 to 55 years of age, they must be presently employed in any managerial position, and they must have had an occupational shift at least once during their midlife. The respondents were chosen as referred by the researchers' friends and relatives who, who have met the criteria that have been drawn as basis. The responses gathered from the interviews were analyzed by means of using theories and studies that were already conducted. |
