The workplace design (Environment), was studied to determine if it matched the levels of engagement and performance (Person) of their employees. Results derived from 131 (38 from the open plan layout and 93 in cellular) BPO agents’ scores in the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) and their Performance Appraisal forms showed that there are significant differences in levels of engagement and performance between the two organizations. There is a better P-E Fit in the organization utilizing the cellular plan office layout. A review of responses from interviews with their operations/engagement managers also provided insights as to the proper intervention to be used. 2010-08-01T07:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/6660 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=12858&context=etd_masteral Master's Theses English Animo Repository Subcontracting—Philippines Work environment Human comfort Employees—Attitudes Industrial and Organizational Psychology
