A study of the relationship of the oxygen content variation as determined by iodometry measurements with the cell potential involving Bi1.84 Pb0.37Sr1.91Ca2.03Cu3.06O10.5+x
A method of determining the oxygen content of Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O ceramic superconductor is tried by correlating the cell potential values with the oxygen content variation, x obtained from iodometric titration. The observed potential values range from 206 to 291 mV while x varies from 0.16 to 0.72. A...

الملخص: | A method of determining the oxygen content of Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O ceramic superconductor is tried by correlating the cell potential values with the oxygen content variation, x obtained from iodometric titration. The observed potential values range from 206 to 291 mV while x varies from 0.16 to 0.72. A change in the oxygen content variation, x was found before and after the cell potential measurement. The x-ray diffraction results showed a shift in the 20 peaks and unidentified peaks were added after the potential measurement. A change in phase (80 K and 110 K) was observed in some samples after the cell potential measurement. Except for 1C2 and 1E2, all the samples were multiphased before and after the measurement. The cell potential values and oxygen content variation in the BPSCCO showed no direct relationship. |
