Summary: | The focus of this paper is J&R printing Company, Incorporated. It is a medium scale printing company that grew by serving the printing requirements of the B.F. Homes Paranaque community. It has established itself to the community by providing quality print jobs which the residents cannot get from nearby print shops. It considers itself a community printer with a management style of serving the customer like a friends. It has been in the business for sixteen years now and feel that it is time they avail of the opportunities accorded by the dynamism of the countrys high economic growth.
This paper will try to identify the external and internal factors that affect the business of J&R Company. In analyzing the environment we are going to use Michael Porters framework of five competitive forces of the industry. In describing the internal characters of the company we will use Porters value chain to arrive at the strengths and weaknesses.
We will then look at the companys vision/mission and study the alignment of its current objective/s and strategies. We will use the identified opportunities and threats of the industry and the companys strengths and weaknesses as bases for analyzing the current objective/s and strategies. We will propose objective/s with its corresponding strategies that we perceive is aligned with the vision of the company. In proposing an implementation plan we will use the 7S Framework of Waterman, Peters, and Philips because as a framework it takes into consideration the different interacting factors of a productive organization. |
