The effect of fintech on the efficiency of selected Philippine universal banks using DEA from 2010 to 2019

總結:Using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model, four efficiency models were developed to compare the efficiency scores of ten (10) select Philippine banks during their pre and post-FinTech periods. Loans, deposits, interest revenue, and interest expenditures were used as either inputs or outputs in the four models. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to determine whether there were significant differences in the efficiency scores between the two periods of the banks taken as a whole. The models that used interest expense and loans as inputs and interest income as outputs showed significant differences in the scores. Individually, no significant differences were found for all the ten banks.
