الملخص:The study focuses on the effectiveness of static list-type infographics design in supporting literal and inferential comprehension. The study aims to test the effect of layout structure and proximity between information towards comprehension and determine the moderating effect of prior knowledge. The methodology used is design of experiments with four layout structures and two proximity settings, and ANOVA and Spearman rank correlation were used for data analysis. The results showed that the optimal infographic design that generated the highest literal and inferential comprehension score was linear layout structure with 5 mm proximity. There is a negative correlation between prior knowledge and literal comprehension and prior knowledge and inferential comprehension. The correlation between literal comprehension and inferential comprehension was identified to be strong positive. Based on the study's results, design guidelines were generated to maximize users' literal and inferential comprehension.
