Compounds of the formula LiCo12yRhyO2 (0.0 ≤ y ≤ 0.20 and y=1.0) have been synthesized by high temperature solid-state reaction and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and infrared spectroscopy.
