總結:Water electrolysis has been a promising technology as an alternative of burning of fossil fuels to produce energy. However, the challenge to overcome the reactions' overpotential barrier has limited the use of this technology in large scale production. In this report, PtPb nanoparticle electrocatalyst has been explored over a wide pH range to determine its efficiency in producing hydrogen (HER) and ensuring material stability. Usually, HER occurs faster in acidic than in alkaline media due to the difference in the adsorption step. Results conclude that PtPb nanoparticle has shown great electrocatalytic ability in both acidic and alkaline media. This is significant as it achieves the benefit of process versatility. Additionally, the material has proven to be stable in both media.
