Description
Summary:Conventional power supply such as lithium batteries are widely used in today’s world. It is not only cheap cost and mature manufacture processes but also in high power capacity. Such obvious advantages make lithium batteries become the most ideal power supply for the internet of things (IoTs). However, lithium batteries have one of the most critical limitations which is toxic electrolyte. As nanoparticle technology become developed, wearable devises have appeared in our life. Some wearable devises are physically touched to human’s organs such as smart contact lens and biosensors. The power supply must be non-harmful, and electrolyte is completely safe even when batteries are broken. In this final year project, a safe Prussian Blue analogues (PBAs) battery had been made. Both of its anode and cathode can operate in solution with sodium ion and potassium ion which also appear in humans’ fluid. The battery exhibited stable discharging capacity 45.41 mAh/g. The power supply was sufficient to operate a low power static random-access memory.
