الملخص:Technological advancement in this current age enables the development of Information Communication Technology (ICT) tools for wide variety of applications. These tools can be used to enhance student learning experience. In this report, it will be delving into the suitability of various CAD software based on comparisons by analysing the strengths and weaknesses. Selecting a chosen CAD software which can be used to support visual and conceptual learning. Different designs were created to test the efficacy of the software based on the ability to animate the motion. The results and analysis of this process will be tabulated. SolidWorks is selected as it provides a comprehensible approach to motion animation. Additionally, newer designs will be introduced to study and analyse the effects of its motion. One of which is the gripper mechanism which would be analysed on the effects of parametric design changes with respect to the range of motion. It is reflected on increasing distance of the open and closed position of the gripper mechanism and optimum range of motion. Another design is the cognate linkage design which meant to be tested on the Roberts-Chebyshev Theorem and application of parallel motion generation. A single degree of freedom motion will be used to produce a coupling or curvature motion which can be seen based on trace motion pathway. The same applies to check if the cognate linkage can produce parallel motion that is parallel with respect to the curvature motion. In summary, SolidWorks has the capability to be used both visually and conceptually. The software can be used for further testing and analysis of other designs which can be used in the learning environment.
