總結:The objective of this Final Year Project (FYP) is to explore the possibility of developing smart wearables incorporated into textile products, with a focus on galvanic skin response (GSR) monitoring. In addition to making use of such biometric signals to characterize the well-being of an individual, this project aims to explore the possibility of obtaining such signals non-invasively, ensure reliable collection, as well as their subsequent interpretation. This report discusses the approaches employed to develop this smart wearable prototype, the process, as well as the outcome in terms of the current development progress. Additionally, the report also briefly addresses the limitations of the prototype’s current development. As there are no comparable products readily available, especially in terms of textile-based smart wearables that focusses on GSR monitoring, the initiation and submission of this project aim to cover the market gap, and potentially provide a convenient solution for people to be charge of their personal well-being. Though we have achieved substantial progress, there are still challenges faced in developing this GSR-based prototype, which will be discussed subsequently in the report.
