Description
Summary:This is a final year project report on a topic involving semiconductor thin films with nano-structured surface morphology for photocatalytic applications. The objectives of this research topic are to investigate the feasibility of this material for selfcleaning applications and improving its efficiency. Sol-gel approach coupled with spin coating is used to fabricate the thin film devices. Focus would be placed on the optimization of the film fabrication and investigation of its properties. Various characterization techniques were also learned and used to identify the capabilities of the material as a photocatalyst. The results of the physical, optical and photocatalytic characterization of the material so far are highlighted in the report.
