Social Image Retrieval Engine (SIRE) is a website which warehouse a huge number of social images downloaded from Yahoo Flickr website. Users can upload their own photos and do text search or visual search for a certain image. This report gives an overview of the enhancements to Social Image Retrieval Engine (SIRE) websites, including Flash Slideshow User Interface, the Image Advertisements System and Personal Web Photo Album. Slideshow User Interface is a new function to display the images from search results or a certain album. Image Advertisements System is to deliver online advertisements along with Web images when they are buffering. Personal Web Photo Album is a platform for users to communicate based on the photos. It allowed them to upload their own photos, share and comment on other’s photos. They also can search their friends or other’s images by text or visual search. With this new design of the SIRE website, SIRE will be a new social networking website, and a platform to save, show and share personal albums with a nice flash slideshow GUI. And the Image Advertisements System provides a new business model for delivering online advertisements.
