Introduction In recent years there have been many discussions on the climate change in connection with the greenhouse effect and the expected global warming that goes with it. This pressing issue has been the topic of countless meetings at different jurisdiction level of many different countries and industries, including the Maritime Industry. Green Port Initiative provides business information on environmental best practises and corporate responsibilities centred on marine ports and terminals, including shipping, transport and logistics. In short, the purpose of Green Port Initiative is about the balancing of environmental challenges with economic demands.
