總結:This report is to investigate the effect of the vibrational drilling on the Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) composite laminate compare with conventional drilling. The strong mechanical properties of GFRP composite such as high specific stiffness and high specific strength have made it widely used in automation and electronic industries. Therefore, the precise of machining for the GFRP composite is important for the component efficiency. Drilling on GFRP laminate may cause damage on the drilled hole. Therefore, investigation is made to have best parameter that deal less damage to the GFRP laminate. A vibration assisted drilling is introduced so that a better hole quality can obtain from the drilling. Parameters that used in this experiment are three drilling tools (Dagger, Reamer and Router), three laminate thicknesses (1.5mm, 3mm, 6mm), two spindle speed (1000 rpm, 2000 rpm), two feed rate (0.08 mm/rev, 0.16 mm/rev) and vibration amplitude of 4 μm. The results are compared with no vibration reference test data. The experiment work is done to obtain the drilling thrust force and the power rating of the drilling process. The drilling result is analysis and compare between with the conventional drilling and vibration assisted drilling. In summary, vibration assisted drilling improve the hole quality of the drilled GFRP composite laminate.
