總結:The objective of this project is to create a proto-type portable energy floor tiles that harvest energy from a crowd during an event or carnival. The energy harvested will be stored in the tile and use to supply low electricity demands in the event. The project serves as a small effort towards green energy and saving the earth. From the nature of the project, choosing the suitable piece of technology, to the physical design and material of tiles, has been a wave of challenges one after another. This is due to my inexperience in product design and mechanical engineering but at the same time a rewarding learning experience. There are a few companies that have similar product to my project. However they are design to be used as a self-sustain light up dance floor for parties. My project on the other hand, is design to harvest energy from moving crowds and use to supply any low power devices like Arduino, raspberry pi and charging of mobile phones. Overall, the project is feasible to a certain extent. However, being the proto-type is design for low power devices, the range of devices and uses are bounded buy it. Thus, in future design; improve on the possible power generated by the tile and applications to it.
