الوصف
الملخص:This report presents method development and subsequent observations addressing vertical distributions of particulate matter at four buildings in Singapore across four different time periods of a day. It involves field monitoring at the chosen sites using handheld devices which collect data across 6 different various particle diameter size bins. The obtained data are average across 15 minutes time period and corrected with colocation factors before plotted against the height where it is recorded. A minimum of four vertical profiles of particle number concentration as a function of elevation are obtained for each session. During data collection, three different approaches are taken due to different site conditions and are compared to assess the implications for development of a suitable method of measuring vertical distributions of ambient aerosols in the vicinity of built environments. Hence the suitable protocol is also suggested together with recommendations for future research aspects.
