Summary: | Single Polarized Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system was done by previous FYP
student and Temasek Lab (TL) Staff. The drawback of a Single Polarized SAR is that
some of the hidden path could be hidden and only be seen by the other polarized. This
would be more elaborated in Chapter 1 section 1.2. Thus, there is a need to upgrade the
system to a Full Polarized SAR and make the SAR image more attractive. Currently, the
system designed for the Full Polarized SAR had been completed. The development of the
programs for the data recording of the de-chirp signal via Single or Multi-Channel
recording through the ADC card had been completed. The Matlab was used to create the
required files to transmit the chirp signal through an Arbitrary Waveform Generator
(AWG) had been completed. The tested result of the data recording program meets the
requirement of the Single and Multi-Channel recording. The dual channel AWG
generated output with the toggling effect of ON and OFF for Full Polarized SAR had
been completed. Lastly, the recommendation of the future direction the project could
take. |
