Summary: | This paper is the final year report for the final year project, ‘Wireless Push Button’. The purpose of this report is to document the research done, problems encountered, results achieve, and future work required. This report consists of 35 pages. This report starts with the motivation of the project, the objective, project overview and the division of work. Followed by, a literature review consisting of the research done for the project. Literature review topics focus on self-harvesting technology. Next, the progress of the project including the methodology used, decisions made on the component to purchase, design and testing of self-harvesting source. Lastly, ending with a conclusion and future work to be done. To use a product remotely without attaching any battery or connected to any wired power source, we will need to attach a self-harvesting source tot the product, such as solar, piezo electric, vibration and radio frequency. In this project, we research on possible solution to allow the wireless push button to be able to self-harvest its own energy. This focus of the project would be to source for a suitable self-harvesting technology for the wireless push button. |
