This research project focuses on the effectiveness of infrastructural development on the cycling paths around Singapore that helps to reduce the speed of cyclists as they approach areas with higher pedestrian volume. Field works, including video observation are carried out near Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) stations to study the cyclists’ and PMD users’ speed profiles when travelling on paths with and without traffic calming elements.
